This is a deliberate choice as the sharpie is the pen of choice for many professionals in the spaces I work in — whether its the labelling of foods in back of house of a restaurant, scribbling up the set list backstage of a theatre, making blocking marks or even labelling equipment in video production. The humble pen is a tool that bonds us all :)
